We are Living Stones (Part 1)
In 1 Peter 2, Peter discusses five attributes that Christians should not possess: malice, guile, hypocrisy, envy, and slander. On the contrary, Christians should yearn for spiritual growth and discernment as we grow in His word. Our foundation of faith is described in terms of our relationship with Christ--the Chief Cornerstone--who is our Redeemer. On today, Pastor George Williamson begins his series entitled 'We are Living Stones."

    The Transformation
Who is Jesus and how should you worship Him? Matthew's account of Jesus on the Mount of Transfiguration reveals Peter's desire to honor Jesus and two others by building tabernacles in their honor. Despite this offer, God spoke to Peter, James, and John so they would more fully understand how they should worship Jesus. What did God say and how did the three disciples respond? Let's listen to Pastor Williamson's sermon entitled "The Transformation" (Matthew 17:1-12).

Attributes of God: The Name Above All Others (Part 1)
William Shakespeare’s play Romeo and Juliet recounts the experiences of Juliet Capulet who shares her conflict upon discovering that her love interest, Romeo Montague, is a member of an opposing family. At one point Juliet declares “O, be some other name! What's in a name? that which we call a rose by any other name would smell as sweet; So Romeo would, were he not Romeo call'd, Retain that dear perfection which he owes without that title.” Her dilemma raises an important question: Should knowing a person’s complete name and attributes change how you view them? When it comes to knowing God and His names, the answer is “Yes.” Elder George Williamson explains why as he begins a new series "Attributes of God: The Name Above All Others." During today’s podcast, Pastor Williamson provides an overview of the series, summarizes some of God’s names, Moses’s recording of God’s covenant-keeping power, and God’s metaphysical attributes of omniscience, omnipotence, and omnipresence.
